NOTICE(s) TO VOTE

As per voting guidelines, the Notice to Vote was posted online (see below) and in a visible place in each First Nation thirty (30) days before the Final Vote Day of March 2, 2024. The Notice to Vote has the following information:
  • the dates, places, and times of the Information Meeting(s);
  • the dates, places and hours of the Ratification Vote; 
  • the dates, period of time and other information of the Online Voting and In-Person Voting;
  • the name of the Ratification Officer, the Ratification Assistant for each First Nation, and their office address and telephone number; and
  • the procedure for a Member to confirm their name is on the Voters’ List and to make any request to have their name added to the Voters’ List.

ONLINE VOTING

Before you can cast your vote online, you must set up an account.  Below is a guide to setting up an OneFeather account and casting a vote.  You need to have your own personal email address before registering for an OneFeather account.  Click here to be redirected to the OneFeather website.

Voting Online

Once you have set up an OneFeather account, and the online voting period has opened you can proceed to voting process.   

How to register with OneFeather and Confirm your identity

  1. Sign into your OneFeather account
  2. Click, Vote Now on the homepage
  3. Scroll down to the current voting events, click Vote Now on the event you wish to vote in
  4. If you haven't confirmed your membership, you will need to before you can vote in the election event
    1. Click Confirm Membership
    2. In the Registry Number or Membership Number box, enter your ten-digit registry number or your membership number
    3. In the Date of Birth dropdown, select your date of birth
    4. Click Confirm Membership 
  5. Click Vote
  6. Review the overview and instructions
  7. Review your voter information on record
  8. Check the "I confirm that I am a registered Nation Name voter and will be 18 years of age or older on or before end of election date" checkbox
  9. Click, Confirm and Continue 
  10. Enter your voter PIN into the Voter PIN text box emailed to the email address you use for OneFeather. This will have the subject line "Your voting information for Nation Name election"
  11. Click, Verify my PIN
You are now ready to vote.

How To Cast a Ballot Online

  1. Read over the ballot​
  2. Make your selection(s) for the ballot
    1. If you need to clear your ballot, click, Clear my ballot 
    2. Click, Next
  3. Repeat steps till you have completed voting. 

Online Spoiled Ballots

​​A spoiled ballot is a ballot that has been intentionally left blank.
  1. Read over the ballot
  2. Do not make a selection
  3. Click, Next
Your ballot will be spoiled.
